I have not made a final decision yet, but it may be time to say goodbye to Starling, at least as my main account.
My phone suddsbtly died last week, and au had to get it replaced, but this took several days. It would have be longer if still. It under warranty.
As Starling do not have an alternative access to account information, other than on screen balances at certain ATMs, I could not monitor my account fully.
I think a fall back, even if it is just online is vital, as if you lose phone access for whatever reason, then there is absolutely nothing you can appear to do. I know there is a phone option, but that is not convenient, an you are always in a queue, and end up getting asked to leave a message (after five minutes of that horrendous hold music/noise).
